VSTS Working Group Growing
Young VSTS Working Group welcomes new BayNET members. We’re had our first couple meetings. Many members have made complimentary remarks about how the group supports their professional needs, and also to learn what Visual Studio Team System can do.

A core group has agreed to meet on Thursday, December 3 near San Rafael, and Pasha Group has kindly agreed to be host for a limited number of BayNET VSTS enthusiasts, up to 20 persons.

This meeting will be a chance to introduce yourself in person and join an important initiative. It starts at 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm. Using Agile with Large, Geographically Dispersed Development Teams

Abstract

It seems like everyone wants to scale their agile teams. The Agile approach to software development needs to scale up to larger team sizes as projects grow in scope. Agile also needs to scale out to handle geographically distributed teams. Both are challenging propositions for many teams. Ade Miller, who is currently the Development Manager for Microsoft’s patterns & practices group (p&p), will talk about his experiences at Microsoft; scaling agile up on the Visual Studio Tools for Office team and scaling out on the radically distributed teams within the patterns & practices group.
