Event Description

We have several opportunities for consulting in Microsoft .NET Smart Client solutions and wish to meet individuals interested in learning this technology and who would be available for work in the coming months.

ObjectWare, the industry leader in helping Windows ISVs and corporate developers make the transition to Microsoft's .NET Smart Client technology, is offering a free, one-week class to selected developers of Microsoft-based applications. As a professional developer, you may qualify for a free one-week class we are holding at our Emeryville headquarters during the week of Monday, July 19. About Smart Client Microsoft's for the first time, made it possible for developers to build Windows applications with "Internet reach". By that term we mean the ease of deployment and ease of maintenance associated with thin-client applications, but without the browser-based limitations of the thin clients' user interfaces. The emerging term for Windows applications with Internet reach is "Smart Clients", sometimes called "Rich Clients".

About the Class This class focuses on the development of Smart (windows-based) Clients communicating with back end data servers over the Internet. Developers who qualify for the class will learn how to build and deploy robust Smart Clients using our IdeaBlade technology. Use of this technology dramatically shortens Smart Client development time by allowing professional developers (using VisualStudio.NET) to focus on the business logic and data semantics of any application. With IdeaBlade, developers avoid the need to build out "application layer plumbing" to fill the gap between the business logic layer and the raw hairy edge.

Please Apply The class is free to corporate and independent developers interested in consulting opportunities in Smart Client. If you are interested and qualified, please respond with a note about your technical background, your organization, and the specific .NET projects you have been involved with. Preference will be given to those individuals with a consulting background. Some travel may be required..

Class Details ObjectWare will provide facilities, materials, and computers. It will be taught by our management team, which is comprised of industry veterans who all have over twenty years of success in building enterprise software companies (including former Microsoft, EDS, and IBM employees).

Dates: Monday, July 19 thru Friday, July 23 Time: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM Location: Emeryville

If you would like to explore this opportunity to work together, please reply with your resume and a note describing your motivations for responding to this ad. davidk@objectware.com
