Event Description
ASP.NET is often pigeon-holed as a platform suitable only for writing boring line of business applications and web sites. Explore how this is absolutely not the case with a walk through the development of a real-life ASP.NET AJAX based game. We'll focus on topics relevant to building internet scale Facebook applications such as threading, asynchronous architectures, data models, and Facebook API calls.
Presenter's Bio
JD Conley is an entrepreneur and consultant focused on building consumer facing web software products. As a founder of two software companies he has had the luxury of experimenting with bleeding edge technology coming out of Redmond. He currently resides as Chief Software Architect for Hive7, a silicon valley social gaming company. Prior to his startup days, JD developed critical line of business software for Malibu Boats, E & J Gallo Winery, and the Associated Press. When not strapped to a computer he enjoys camping, volleyball, jet ski's, and video games.
